Miss Mary-Ellen

It was such a treat yesterday to be able to photograph this fine young lady. Mary-Ellen is an absolute sweet-heart and a joy to be around. She recently turned 3 years old and has the vitality of a child her age. Needless to say, I had a nice workout!

After a long absence and total inability to do my trade, I am finally coming back to life. Over the last few months, many of you have emailed me wondering what is going on. At first, I did not want to go public with this mostly because I am an extremely private person, but then I decided that it was only fair to let people know. Thank you to all who have stood by me during this difficult time. I am truly grateful for your support and never ending kindness.

On January 8th 2018, I woke up one morning completely unable to move my right arm. After a trip to the emergency room, I was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder. The pain was unreal. Many months of physical therapy and targeted exercises later, I felt pretty good when all of sudden in July, my left shoulder started acting up. It was back to the therapist with manual manipulation of my shoulder and once again targeted exercises. One year later, I am finally doing a little bit better. I am able to use both of my arms but I have to be very careful. On a sad note, both of my shoulders are busted and eventually, I will have to have surgery.

Today was a good day. I went back to my studio and did some playing. I hope that you like what you see. Cheers everyone!

I love and I live for the outdoors. I am so grateful to reside in a area where beauty is all around me. The following image was taken on our way to Florence. We decided to make a pit stop before our destination and went hiking.

Happy Saturday from the accidental blogger!

The last four months have been rather hectic. I would like to be able to tell a story that I have been busy travelling the world, but the truth of the matter is, I have been rather ill. It all started one Saturday in January when I woke up unable to move my right arm. A trip to the after hour emergency clinic and an ultrasound later, have revealed that an old sports injury has turned into an arthritic condition.  Yes, it hurts... a lot!

 Happy new year to me!

I have spent the last several weeks undergoing extensive physical therapy and acupuncture treatment. No words can appropriately describe the amount of pain that I have endured. Today is the first day in a very long time, that I feel somewhat okay.  So I will celebrate the day and post a photograph from one of my hiking trips from last Summer. Today is also the day where we are turning the water and electricity back on at the cabin. Happy days are here again and I intend to celebrate in style. Until next time..... Cheers!

With all the negativity going around these days, I feel that many of us are super stressed and  we are loosing ground on what being a real human being is all about. I must admit, these days,  I am one of those people who is afraid to watch the news . It is time to do something. For the next few days, weeks, not sure how long, I am going to walk around and take free portraits of people, just for the sake of being kind. I might even add other things, just so it will help me bring my focus back on the beauty around us.

Hi there! I know it's been a while since I last posted something. I have been extremely busy working , leaving me next to zero time to publish my work on social media, and I am also having an incredible time being an urban farmer. Yes, I am still doing photography but these days, it is mostly product shooting until the weather gets better and we can go outside to play. This afternoon's fun project was a loaf of zucchini bread. I do not expect this load to last very long. It is absolutely delicious! To your health my friends!

My favorite time of the year is here and I am loving every minute of it. YES, I have been super busy thus the absence on social media. Today was a day of rest, so off we went to one of my favorite places to hang out, the Fifth street market! . The specialty imported foods, the chocolates, the decor always bring back some of my fondest memories of my home town back in Paris. My holiday shopping is all finished, so now I can enjoy the holiday the way I like to. On the menu, lots of walks in the park, trips to the beach, gatherings with family and friends. I hope that wherever you are, you will not succumb to the stress of the holiday and get to enjoy it the way it should be.

Last week I made the painful decision to let go of my beautiful studio. No matter how much I really love the place, truth be told, I am bored to death being indoor .  I miss doing natural light photography and being outdoors. I will continue offering my clients business headshots, and business portraits in a studio setting, but will add on more lifestyle and natural light portraiture on location. I am extremely excited about this change and very eager to start.

Today was one of those days where I just wanted to hang out at the studio. My partner was doing a session with a model who came accompanied by her friend Abby. One thing led to another, and before I knew it, a totally impromptu session took place in the other room with Abby who had never been in a studio setting. Kudos to Abby. You did GREAT!

It has been two years since I last photographed Brianna. Today's photo session was like a family reunion. The last time we worked together, 4 of the images were submitted for publication and YES, we were published. Following is a sneak peek of some of the work that we did today.

Hey there. I am doing a light testing at my studio towards the end of August and I am looking for someone who would like to be my muse. The session will take place on a Sunday afternoon and it is FREE. You do not have to be a model to qualify. If interested, please contact me. Cheers!

My vegetable garden is presently in full production and along with it comes a lot of processing. This afternoon was mostly spent making two loaves of zucchini bread and one loaf of " Death by chocolate zucchini bread" . I came across the last  recipe one year ago on Delish.com . Look it up, you won't regret it.
