ANYTHING GOES

THE MCKENZIE ART FESTIVAL

Last weekend, I took some time off to go to the cabin and play a little. It was the weekend of the McKenzie art festival, often times referred to as the chainsaw art festival. It all depends who you ask. As a rule of thumb, chainsaws are not really " my thing", but I have to admit that the work that these folks do it quite incredible. So no.... what follows is not going to be an image of a pretty lady in a lingerie,  but rather a tough working guy showing you what he can do with a chainsaw.

Portland, OR

When I am not in my studio, street photography is something that I love to do. During my last trip to Portland, I walked around town taking photos randomly. I had a few hick ups when a couple of people got really upset and I had to delete the photos that I took of them, but for the most part it was a pretty safe journey.

I must confess, I almost took a ride in one of these and at the last minute changed my mind. Don't ask me why.

Newport, OR

I love the ocean, and I absolutely love going to Newport, OR. My last vacation was absolutely fantastic. I have been back home for a couple of days, and I am already ready to go back. Following are a couple of images that I took on my trip. Please enjoy!

Lincoln City, OR

If your travels take you in the city of Lincoln City, OR, there is a glass blowing studio worth taking a look at. These guys do incredible work! Across the street is a gallery where one can view a myriad of the pieces created in the studio.

A beautiful sunset on Agate Beach, Newport, OR

The seasons are changing and summer is nearing it's end. Every year, I hate to see it go, but I know that it will be back. I have spent the last 10 days traveling around Oregon, soaking up as much as I can of the beautiful state in which I am fortunate to reside. A new season will soon be here which will offer new colors and new beauty. Until then, I would love to share with you some of the images that I took during my trip. Please enjoy!

A little street photography

Last Thursday, my travels took me to Portland for business and pleasure. A hint of Spring was in the air and it was absolutely wonderful to be able to walk around the waterfront and capture some of it.

As the weeks go by, I am getting closer and closer to return back home. No matter the excitement, I am also a little apprehensive about my trip. I have been gone for so long!. Will I remember how to speak my native language, will I still fit in? Only time will tell.

San-Francisco

I have now been back from my trip for a couple of days, catching up on things and taking care of business in Paris, and I must admit that I already miss San-Francisco. Up until now,  I really thought that I had given up my love for the city, but let me tell you.... boy was I wrong! At first I felt a little lost. Within a couple of hours I was back being a city girl. I was ALIVE! I had a couple of commitments, but once finished, I spent the rest of my time, playing, shopping, site seeing and I must confess.... I had a wonderful time. My original goal was to take a lot of photos but my eagerness to play took over, so for the most part I left my camera in my hotel room. There was not enough time for me to try ALL the restaurants, but the one I tried served the most superb food I have had in a long time. I plan on going back real soon. As a matter of fact, I am so deeply in love with San Francisco that I want to move there. Renting however is very expensive. From what I have seen it runs around $1000.00 a square foot. Yikes! Until my next trip, following are a few photos that I would like to share with you. Cheers friends!

Sunday Photo

My photography teacher made mention to me not too long ago, that in order to better myself what I need to do is go out there and click away. He is the boss and I am on a mission. Here's to you boss. Happy Sunday!
